Itinerary (English)

• We will fly into Chicago on June 7th. In Chicago we will pick up our rental car (hopefully a van) and drive towards Wisconsin.
• In Wisconsin we will stay in the Madison area for three days and meet as many relatives as possible. Most of Arvid's relatives are in this area, and also Morten has a bunch of relatives here. Unfortunately we will not be able to visit all of them; we have to prioritise Arvid's family this time.
• On June 10th we will drive westward through Minnesota and South Dakota. Our goal is to reach Rapid City, SD, sometime in the late evening - as we want to get a head start on Mt. Rushmore the next day.
• After seeing Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument we will drive south through Wyoming into Colorado. Here we will stay in the Denver area to visit with some friends for some days, as well as drive around to enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery.
• From Colorado we will drive into New Mexico (maybe Albuquerque) before heading westwards into Arizona. We will stay in the Flagstaff area for a couple of days and explore the mighty Grand Canyon.
• Our next stop will be Las Vegas, NV. We don't intend to do much gambling, but we have to try the slot machines! We will stay in Las Vegas for two nights before moving on.
• We will drive through the Death Valley National Park and "enjoy" the heat before seeing Sequoia National Park.
• San Francisco is a MUST, and we will stay there for three nights - trying to see as much as possible, and crossing our fingers for some nice weather... we don't have to experience the SF fog for three days!
• Leaving SF we will drive along the coast towards Oregon, where we will visit familly in the Eugene area.
• Continuing north our last stop on the west coast will be Tacoma, where we will visit more family and also enjoy the fantastic scenery.
• We will fly from Seattle to New York on July 1st, and end our vacation with a great 4th of July celebration there. We will head back to Norway on 5th July.
